funny thing is, a number of the old forum regular's were expecting a forum revival after the departure of a certain lady from the East. But maybe the damage was already to extreme?

I am fully aware that I for one could contribute more, and yes, I actually want to.

The forums have taken a huge knock in recent times. Various members have various opinions as to the reason for this. My opinion I will share via PM with you. 

It would be great to see the forum swing back into life.

You have actually answered your own "question" . . .you say that in your opinion (paste your words in here) . . . then in fairness, surely other people are allowed to have their opinion on the matter ? 

I almost concur completely with you Sir Redbruce. I myself have had numerous successful meets via this site, however, to date still not had the opportunity for a Dogging scenario.

And yes, I agree patience is the key.

Why even mention the word couple when its already showing that its a couple profile? 

A large number of the couple profile wright ups, have the opening sentence "happily married couple . . . . "!!! 

I have not been part of a married couple in the lifestyle for some years now, so I am asking if anybody has some info on these words? To me, it seems like insecurities? Like one of the partners is not actually into this idea?

The days when being yourself was actually applauded? Instead of the current "be yourself, just differently" mind set of the world today?

The problem with "self help" books is they are generally based on one persons ideas, and more often than not, said person lives in a different continent that has completely different values. . . . .

Perhaps it's time that the request for single straight males to be removed from the site is made by the couples who have an issue with it?

Or at least, a request that couple profiles cannot tick the straight male box! That should cut the "problem" in half at least? If course, that would also require the straight "single" female member get the same "treatment" because if MMF s not site appropriate, then MFF is surely not? 

Or perhaps . . . . . the majority of the people who comment, really do mean what they say??????? 

Knocking what people say by saying something negative about them /  their comment is perhaps a little . . . . well, exactly the same?

Single guys can't swing, they can only help a couple in a 3some scenario (and maybe the occasional unicorn interaction) . . .

While I have little to no doubt that at some point each of us may have sent an unnecessary flame or two, in general flames were not the intended result. . . . .(yes, I am proposing some people are too sensitive when it comes to opinions that differ) ......  However, 

Having said that, the previous "shooter of many flames" (the reason the forums have the reputation of flame throwing) has been off the site for some time, so maybe another excuse, oops I mean reason should be investigated? 

So I just read a "story" in the "stories section" about how people are judged by the other members on this site, and I am now wondering something. . .  . . 

The question has been asked frequently "why have the forums died" and while we all have our own opinions (yes, I shared mine loudly) as to why they died, I am now wondering if another reason is simply that people don't fully understand the different sections etc????

"Story" in the "story section" has had 100's of views and a couple dozen comments .   . 

I get where you are coming from @cpl2play, however . . . by the same reasoning application, thinking about cooking a 5 course meal makes you a chef .. . . 

So, at the rusk of also "changing topic direction" . . . my take is,

Any (label removed) guy who hooks up with another (label removed) guy, probably does so for one simple reason . . . and that reason is sex. 

Repeat "offenders" might need to look at themselves shall we say "differently" but I think it all boils down to sexual experiences.

Wolfman, most (not all) members on this site, have lots of opinions about lots of things, it seems however, that the majority only feel the need to share about certain topics. And of course any thing that can be complained about :violin:

Perhaps the reaction people give when a member different to what they have specified responds to a post or advert, is EXACTLY why certain members push buttons. 

Kind of like feeding a pet, the more you do it, the more they look for it. 

Yet, since it was posted in 2015.  .  .  .  . it has had nearly 1300 views!!!!!

It's like coffee granules . . . goes into water one way, lands up being something different afterwards. Still coffee, but different.

Having been one of the very regular contributors of recent past, I would tell you a slightly different story as to why the forums died.

One of the reasons was simply that everytime somebody contributed something, they got shot down in flames and were accused of 'hi-jacking" a topic. Funny thing was though, those same members who complained about this were the first to complain when the forums were quiet.

There are countless reasons though . . . . . .

A typical "be yourself, just differently" situation . . . . . 

The part I have never been able to compute, is why said preferences are only an issue in one particular direction . . . . .
