So I just read a "story" in the "stories section" about how people are judged by the other members on this site, and I am now wondering something. . .  . .

The question has been asked frequently "why have the forums died" and while we all have our own opinions (yes, I shared mine loudly) as to why they died, I am now wondering if another reason is simply that people don't fully understand the different sections etc????

"Story" in the "story section" has had 100's of views and a couple dozen comments .   .

Lol...maybe because the stories have more details. Did read the post...agreed, would be brilliant if she could post it here.

I think a lot of the members regard the Forum as being too "intellectual", and not something that provides much gratification.  Most of the members here, in my view, are looking for a quick "fix", that will satisfy their immediate and sexual desires - so 1st prize: a meet-up with someone else (hopefully to lead to some sexual gratification of some description), or 2nd prize: a look at their cam show or naughty pics and private parts (to oogle and maybe even wank?), and 3rd prize: read about their naughty exploits...  But discussing relatively academic issues is far from being at the top of their list of priorities!...

Then of course, it takes three clicks to find and get into the Forum, hidden away under the Entertainment menu, while a single click of the Bic takes you straight into Stories! (more instant gratification...)

A thought.......Maybe....because as a newbie visiting the forums for the first time and coming across commentary about how brilliant the forums were "ïn the good old days" you feel that your own meagre commentary would pale in comparison to the illustrious and erudite contribrutions that were once the norm .......

I don't think there were (certainly not all of them!) illustrious and erudite - but there was so much more interaction, many more contributors, new threads....

Hello all, Zaenia you have a point, newbies are afraid of being "shot down in flames" but I feel this IS a misconception, most of our barks are much worse than our bites, after all these years all we expect is a halfway valid point and comprehensible grammar hahaa, Redbruce I agree with you that before the "site upgrade" the forum was more readily accessible than it is nowadays, and that has contributed to the decrease in activity, in the context of the modern world the last place I would look for intellectual stimulation is under the heading of "entertainment"

once again my 2cents worth .......

While I have little to no doubt that at some point each of us may have sent an unnecessary flame or two, in general flames were not the intended result. . . . .(yes, I am proposing some people are too sensitive when it comes to opinions that differ) ......  However,

Having said that, the previous "shooter of many flames" (the reason the forums have the reputation of flame throwing) has been off the site for some time, so maybe another excuse, oops I mean reason should be investigated?
