Just curious, if there are any other members who have come across fake profiles and or scammers. I have regularly received private messages saying someone in some country thousands of km away would like to get to know me.
Also coming across numerous profiles with pics, that's I have seen on web sites.

Jack99 feel free to contact a Mod or put in a complain, i can assure you that the problem are 'n big concern for the people in charge of the site.
There are people from Senegal that try every thing in there power to open profiles but knew there are admin people hunting them down.
Pics are not so easy its inpossible for Mods to scan every pic throw Tineyeye to find out if the pic appears some where on other web sites. They need the help of every members on the site to get rid of these fake profiles as well as fake photo's.
Think the same must been done by members if they find scammer/fakers to report them and with your help and evidence the scammers/fakers can be ban. That is easy to start a new fake profile but if every genuine member be on the looked out, they will be ban very quickly again

Yip, a number of them are fake. from time to time one finds the same picture on a profile 100's of kilometers from the last person who claimed it was them. Also a lot of "not entirely accurate" profiles. Like Adonis said, impossible to scan everything, difference is though, the fake ones will get bored and move onto another site eventually, those of us who are actually using the site for it's intended purpose will still be here . . . .

SDMR there are members who have double profile one in Gauteng and one in Natal, why they do it make no sense.
And people have double profiles as a couple and then as singles aswell also not make sense

I guess there are a number of different reasons why people would do that.
Fortunately it's pretty easy to identify the majority of those kinds of profiles.
I've identified a couple of fake profiles .... only AFTER I was taken for a ride ..... just ignored and walked away!

It's like in real life - everybody wants a great life and great responses/reports from everybody - but life doesn't work like this!
That's why you get the PLAYERS (cannot go out - there's nothing to go out to!) They start fooling around with fake profiles, etc. and fools around with THE 'serious about people' -people!
For them it's funny, it's a joke ...... but they never realise that that's the reason they never will have any 'long term' friendships!

When we were still actively looking for playmates, we got plenty of messages from "people" who were in other countries. Why would we casually meet up with someone who is not even in the country?
We just started ignoring them. The ones we did reply to, didn't even respond back.
We never thought about reporting them to admin. Next time, we will... might save someone else some irrritation.

you know what. the front page of the profile at the bottom a person can leave a quick comment. once we meet a cpl or person that is real we post a note there that the person or cpl is for real. if any one has any question on that person or cpl then that person can contact the person how left the comment.
hope this idea will help route out the fakes

i have not read everything on here but adonis there are still how many profiles each day from sengal people or should i say assholes
i think about the double profiles for some people, they do it to have a better success rate example. i stay in jhb but travel frequent to durbs, if i'm going down to durbs then i can go and search but remember we search by area code so if the people in durbs are looking for fun they are going to miss me lol with this i dont have a problem
but what i di have a big problem with is all the profiles on here that is getting a hell of a kick from just chatting because when it gets to the meeting that has been arranged they either dont show up or they cancel in advance about something tha came up. i mean anything can happen to any1 to have to cancel or move the date but lets be realistic once is ok the second time the warning lights should come on.
i also know that we are not all compatable and not all have that connection we need to make the experience wonderfull but then just say so. hey boet of poepol i or we dont think we are going to get along but no, they still wanna talk horny with you and make more fake appointments
if we could get a page where we could mention the profiles that has been waisting our times it would be great. i realise that its difficult to do but we gotta do something. create a page for those that dont want to meet just chat. i am on 2 other swinger sites as well and have the same problem there.
i mean you get a site where all the fraudeulant companies are listed on specially the chinese, why cant we have a page on this site to add them there to warn the other guys , first go check there mate before you wast your time. i know it could be missused by people that have a grudhe against some1 but thats why we have to think of something

i know singles are irritating and thats 1 of the reasons why we as singles are casted out by cpls and single girls but these fake chatters are part of the reasons single guys get frustrated

Volgens my was dit wat ek glo die forum moet bereik en dit gebeur in baie gevalle. Eerstens wil ek namens die Mods antwoord ja die scammers van die Ooste is 'n probleem maar verseker die lede alles word gedoen om hulle so gou as moontlik te ban, dit gebeur op 'n uurlikse basis solank ek 'n lid van die site is.(Ek nie 'n Mod nie, maar naby een)
My voorstel was nog altyd een of ander metode moet ontwikkel word om die kansvatters aan die pen te laat ry, maar ongelukkig is daar nie hoop nie dit is soos om iets met die regering te onderhandel, maar hulle stel geensins belang in veranderinge nie, al wat tel is getalle.
Solank daar geen manier van goedkeuring van 'n nuwe aansoek is, sowel as dat die site gratis is, sal ons met die probleem sit. My persoonlike ondervinding was dat ek die hardegatste, onbeskofste met geen maniere persoon op die site mee te doen gehad het, maar toevallig of ongelukkig ontmoet ek die persoon in die stad en weet julle wat, hy is seker die die bes manierde persoon wat jy kan kry. My vraag aanhom hoe die ander persoonlikheid en sy antwoord hulle weet nie wie ek is nie en ek gee uiting aan my frustrasies.
As een van die persone wat gou optree as mense uit lyn optree en dalk baie krities is oor singles, verstaan ek hulle frustrasies, een vrot appel maak die hele mandtjie vrot, en al die singles word gelabel. Daar is baie meer goeie singles op die site as die vrot appels maar versekker julle die goeies kry nie hul regmatige plek nie.
My raad aan die goeie singles, verander julle manier van kontak maak vergeet van die ou afgesaagde sin. "I looked at your profile and please looked at mine", "Open your private albums please" Ek praat nie eers van die minder mooi mails nie.
Nog omtrent elke single wat ons genader het met 'n ordenlik mail met sy besonderhede, omstandighede en behoeftes het terugvoering ontvang en selfs is van hulle beloon.

What about the "genuine" profiles of real people, but with fake pics? Many of those here. I have seen pics with American plug sockets in the wall (in the backround), even seen a girl posing in a car that was left hand drive, etc. These were on real profiles. Also met a couple, the pics were of a lady with perfect breasts and rock hard abs, when I got to the house, she was loose and flabby??? I just left. (Not because she was fat, but because they lied on their profile)...

I reported some fakers yes, but not those with fake pics. Apart from fake pics, they are real and most probably use fake pics to increase their chances. I did not want to report them, guess I have a softer heart than I thought...

Thanks for keeping us informed about the fakers out there, and yes one fake photo makes a faker in my opinion.
We try to catch the fake photo's at the time of uploading but a lot do get through, and we rely on you the member to bring them to our attention as you find them. By clicking on the Report icon on the offending profile and leaving us with any evidence you may have it not only makes our job easier but makes the site better for all.
I personally spend about ten(10) to fifteen(15) hours each week looking for and dealing with fakes etc. and i know the other mods do the same, while we have programs to help us find fake photo's, we simply don't have the resources or the time to search the entire internet looking for fakes or stolen photo's.
As with any community the best form of policing is done from within, so please report all fakes you come across and together we can clean things up.

Question, by deleting the pic from the profile and leaving the profile in tack, is the holder then not invited to sin again with the same behavior, filling the profile with new fake pics in the future, and still maintaining the fake person status as before ?
I simply would not trust that person at any time again. Could be a school kid riding a boner at the expense of others, who knows.
Best practice would be to handle the IP address as I would think that these fakers would have multiple profiles anyhow or if deleted would just create another profile.

John you right for what you said but for some reason, one IP adress belong to a lot of members, som it cant be block and to make a new profile is as easy as peanuts eat. No program in place to stop it. New e-mail adress new profile.

In principle you are right but we do have to remember that there are two types of offenders of the photo fakers, the true faker and the person that just thinks it would be nice to share some of there Favorite porn, without reading the site A.U.P. So to afford an equal and fair opportunity to clean your act up is reasonable. Repeat offenders can then be banned and the fight to keep them off the site can begin. (Once a user has been banned any new profile they open will be banned as soon as we can prove that it is the same user.)
As far as I.P. addresses are concerned, and the way data bundles are sold in SA, mean that its not a simple matter of banning a I.P address, as some bundles are sold in smaller units to a large user group and therefore it is not uncommon to have multiple users with the same I.P.
Unfortunately vigilance and persistence by all members of the community is the only real weapon we have to create a situation where the spammer or faker is hounded off the site by been denied any meaningful access over time.
As Mods we will keep warning and banning profiles as required and as fast as we become aware of them, but we need the SH community to keep reporting and providing us with as much evidence as possible.
Only if we stand together, can we send a clear message that this site is not a viable place for those with devious intentions or a place where disrespect and bad behavior will be tolerated.

I understand the first part - as I was confronted by Admin (
) when I tried to simultaneously upload a couple of 'photos / pics' I wanted to use for an avatar! Immediately I got a mail from Admin to say that I cannot do, and when I looked my collection of avatars were missing! 
That was while I tried to work it out for myself how to upload my avatar/s. Now I know that you can only have one avatar pic at a time and multiple photos for the Album!Regarding help ...... :grin: ....."Together we can do more!" Our prez!

No real skill required, most pics are done with cell phone quality for starters. Your first indication of a fake is when a pic is sharp, the lighting is good, (hardly shadows) and the pose of the character looks magazine style, then followed by the " if it is too good to be true then it probably is". Read the profile and if your trousers bulge, you then have your second indicator.
Most female profiles with ages 18 to late twenties should be treated suspect as well.
I am not going to mention the tools as the fakers will use the knowledge towards their advantage of staging the best untraceable pic.

If you have such links and you feel it's important for admin or a moderator to follow up - rather PM these to a mod or to Adminsteve directly and do not post them in the public areas of the site.

I beg to differ that was Sh members in open albums using other website to get there pics on SH and think its a good thing to put them in the forum then every one can see who is fakkers and bullshitters. Reading back that looked thats what members asked for. Who approved those pics in the beginning Mods who approve pics not giving attention i was a culprit myself.
Please the point was - links to other siteswith content that is against the SH AUP, IN THE PUBLIC areas of SH is not on.
NO porn sites, no other swinger sites (that's advertising on SH for free!) and no sites which have "hardcore" content.
Not that you can't say who is being a fake. ALTHOUGH I personally would need to be VERY certain that I was correct in my assessment of someone's 'fakeness' before I made any public comment. (asking a Mod or admin to "check out" a profile will get you a pretty quick answer btw.)
And while it is true that the rules for use of the forums (particularly in relation to links on the site and pictures linked here or posted here) are not quite as clear as those for the chat areas, which are a lot more widely used, so there are grey areas (I am waiting for Admin to clarify certain things for this purpose but I expect it will take time to tailor the rules for this area) the BEST 'rule of thumb' to keep in mind is - if you can SEE stuff on another site that you KNOW wouldn't be allow on this site, then please don't post a direct link to that site on the forum.
BUT BY ALL MEANS - go ahead and report any profile not being completely honest and send all such links to admin and mods, anytime, all the time! In fact you MUST do it - it's the only way we can move this site and it's membership into a better more honest and safe community status than it currently appears to be. Mods and Admin need all the help we can get but we can't disregard the rules and acceptable use policies just because it doesn't suit us or we are frustrated with particular members or profiles. Of course that's not to say that the rules are set in stone - that may be impractical - so contacting Admin about them is completely acceptable too.
We must remember this is not a "hookup for free sex" or dating or porn site and we (REAL SWINGERS) do not want SH to be associated (by links on their fora, chatrooms etc or otherwise) with any of those practices or ideas. That would just encourage those "fakers" to keep using this site as their personal playground, to screw with or mess around with people and their safety in their lifestyle AND disrespect the women here. And I for one wouldn't want to do ANYTHING to encourage that sort of behaviour.... Don't want to wear out my cat-o-nine-tails too soon....
So wherever possible, please try to stick to the "rules" and if you have any issues with any of these "rules", please address them to Adminsteve in the "site help" area so that we can get to a clearer and more distinct understanding of the boundaries. And perhaps where the "rules" do not quite work in practice in this arena, addressing them there, will allow admin to adjust and amend accordingly, so as to make the guidelines more practical, useful and supportive.

BTW on the issue of name and shame - I don't really have a personal issue with the idea but SEVERAL times Admin have told us that it is NOT OK to use the public fora areas to do this.
And I do understand why they say this - as much as many of us, who know each other and trust each other (cos we are FORUM FRIENDS!) will find our 'references' for other profiles useful - there is always the possibility of that twit that you rejected using the SAME MECHANISM to 'black list' you out of jealousy, hurt pride and meanness of spirit - imagine if that happened?
I would be mortified and sure there are PLENTY of people I've turned down - so I'm sure (as are admin, it seems) those immature selfish pic-trawling little boys who think this is a "free sex site" would abuse any such "name and shame" opportunity to make our lives hell in an altogether new and exciting way.

Hi there
I have had pics sent by REMOVED BY ADMIN, after being invited to meet him and his lady, and then doing a cross search of the pics it lead me to some obscure Portuguese porn site .... I gave him the opportunity to reply and he did not. This after he has been on line a couple of times.
So I would like to report this please.
