This is an ongoing argument, I also hate the line "do not cross colour line" but then they message me and send me album invites. Like the country we live in and even the world the race thing will always be an issue.
As a woman on this site its really difficult, we get bombarded with messages. Stalked, get rude, crude and even some shocking messages. And the pics, I'm so tired of seeing penis! *ok except the one that I'm interested in. Sometimes the messages pile up so badly we just scan through them and if nothing interests us or gets our attention we pass it. I clearly state on my profile that if I'm not interested I won't be replying. That to me is about preference, profiles with only pics of private parts I ignore, friend request and no messages I ignore, incomplete profiles get ignored too.I hope I don't offend anyone.
I have met a lot of good guys on this site though who I am still friends with.

So 20 years on from democracy people are meant to flick a switch and be sexualy attracted to people of another colour. You might very well be a great person to hang out with but some people just aren't attracted to people across the race line. It doesn't mean they will say no you as a person and friend but this site here is for one thing and thats sex. Sex is why people are here and they are looking for people they find sexualy attractive.
Let me change the story a bit. You meet someone on the site, they know their not attracted to people of colour but you 3 still have a date. End of the nigh there is no sexual tension so you go home and ask for a 2nd date. This keeps going on but because you don't make her horny it never goes past drinks.
Question would you rather have the above and 5 failed nights on the minute possiblity she might feel randy one night and settle for you. Or instead be told the sexual attraction isn't there and not waste your time on 5 dates.
The problem here is sexual attraction is complicated. I've had message from couples over 50, it's not really what gets me going. I could say yes and waste there time over 5 meets and end saying there is no spark even though we had some great evenings chatting and swoping stories. I'd rather be honest though and say I'm not attracted and I don't think we would get to the sex part, the reason why they contacted me.

It's simple and I state fact, this issue is more prevalent in South african society in general due to our past, compared to other countries in the world.
The second point is to plainly put that you won't meet somebody based on skin colour is absurd without even having met the person or given them the chance.
IF it's about attraction in sure I can find pics of non white males and or females that would make these people drool.
My point is at least be open to meeting them, if you not happy then cool but you closing down an opportunity based on a generalisation.

I am pretty unbiased. I somewhat agree with itseuggp. That line as unneccassary as it is, it's right at the top of some profiles, in caps.
In all honesty most of them I wouldnt consider anyway, so no sweat off my back.

Let me tell you a story: I was approached by the Police Training College in Benoni. They asked me to tender on a contract to modify 36 vehicles for training purposes. I filled in the documents and submitted my quotation. I was told that my quotation is the best out of 7 quotes. My work carries a great reputation. I am the only person in the country with knowledge and experience to undertake the work as it is a specialised trade and I do hold the bulk of the market in South Africa... Yet I was denied the contract as I was not level 7 BBE! That was the reason given.
I have a patent on my product and I have manufacturing and installing dual controls and hand controls in cars for 14 years. There are three people in the country that do this, the other two are backyard and a large percentage of my orders are me removing their systems and fitting mine. I get cars from all over the country and even from African countries. It truly is a specialised trade.
I was then contacted a month later by a man who repairs breaks in cars. He asked me to quote on fitting dual control systems in 36 vehicles for the S.A.P. As he was awarded a contract but has no clue how to manufacture and install these systems.. Guess what, he was a black man. I denied him my services obviously... Do not talk to me about racism!
