Reposting for reference a comment here that I made under the dogging section in response to an anonymous post about possible dogging happening in Gwendolyn street - nothing of course happened, but here's my thought's on the spot:
As for the spot itself, I did some exploring and it seems a little questionable as a
good dogging spot... Next to Gwendolen street on the western end it's
basically a small park with some trees. Very open and barely any shade
and in view of some of the houses on the opposite side. The only tree
with shaded area and possibly some privacy is covered with brush.
There's a path heading further west from the end of the road and splitting off
from this one can go towards the small spruit that runs past, where
there is possibly a space that can be used. However it's cramped,
overgrown and litter all over with lots of flies on the day. Will have to dodge some
thornbushes as well. A taxi dropped one person off nearby who used the footpath to
walk past towards the main road further on - anyone walking there will
definitely hear any action going on and possibly see.
Personally I don't see the Gwendolen area as a good dogging spot - maybe at night
with less activity, but safety could be a concern. Although the western
end is more quiet, the rest of Gwendolen had quite a bit of foot
traffic, and the ADT patrol came past around 15:10.
So... Anonymous post, dodgy spot, very long time window with no specifics - don't waste your time.
