Reception very much depends on your manner, tone, profile content, picture types, style of first contact. A lot weighs on how well you read the profiles, and whether you mail profiles based only on their pictures and not their info...

All of the above is spot on advice, I would only add one little thing, and that is patience. Also just keep in mind that woman have all the power

Ah... patience... yes - to be truthful - we've been at this for 4 years I think... only two couples playdates (one a disaster and one was awesome and surpassed all expectations!) and 3 meets with one single and one meet with another single (who is now a no-show - so much for long-term friendships).... most of those happened in the past 6 months!
