So I went to have a look at the transformed venue for myself.... and had a good chat with the owner.
The bar is really nice (you have to access it through the play area), drinks prices are reasonable.... there is a small stage where live music can be provided for organised functions. The bar is open from 12 midday until as late at night as patrons wish to stay, Tuesdays to Sundays (closed Mondays).
Great also (for us non-smokers) that there is a designated outside "smoking area", which the owner intends to screen and better protect from the weather.
The car guards (and camera surveillance of the street parking) were very evident. Owner says he has been parking outside the venue himself for near 20 years (previous businesses at the same premises) and has never had his car interfered with. Only been one incident in all that time, where someone left valuable items visible on the back seat of the car!).
The mattresses in all the cubicles are being re-covered / replaced.
ALL of the facilities (private cubicles, orgy room, swing, gloryholes, "speciality" rooms) are now available to ALL patrons (both male AND female), as there is no longer a "males only" section. Which means that there are now more private cubicles available for couples to use, not just the two as previously.
The thing which really sets Sinsations apart from somewhere like AW Honeydew (the other evidently popular venue), in my view, is that there are separated "theatre" areas for the gay and hetero porn movies, with decent-sized screens, so that you are not having to view both movies at the same time in the same room, with both audio channels blaring (or the gay one out-blaring the hetero, as has been my unfortunate experience at AWH).
I think that Sinsations is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a safe place to play indoors.
