As a keen "watcher", I tend to hang out (when I have time) at potential dogging spots, to see what's happening. It's surprising the number of people who sit around in their cars at these spots, or who come driving through, just casing the joint!
I often think to myself - "I wonder if they are also from Swinging Heaven?", and there's no way to know, unless you stop and ask them. Meeting up with each other is actually quite difficult.
Over the last year and a half I have seen a number of suggestions for signals that folks can use to help identify each other at such sites - from the feathers-in-hand used by the Feather Club at Germiston Lake, to sea-shells on the bonnet, to water bottles on the car roof, to pieces of paper under the windscreen wiper.... But feathers are damn difficult to see on a car's dashboard, and even vanilla folks might put a bottle of water on the roof of their car...
Maybe it's time to standardise on a highly visible signal that is unlikely to be confused with anything "vanilla"?
I would like to suggest hanging a RED CLOTH ITEM from the interior mirror, if you are at or visiting a site where you think it's likely other members might also be hanging out. This could be a red hankerchief or scarf or Tshirt, or a bra or panties if you are adventurous!, or just a piece of cloth. It's not a bad idea to carry a piece of red cloth in your car, to use as a red flag in case of emergency anyway, and red cloth shouldn't be too difficult to get hold of....
It would need to be big enough to be visible while driving by, needs to be noticeably RED, and obviously would only work for daytime encounters. Then we could recognise each other out on site, and stop and chat. Good idea to remove it if the cops come driving past, though!!
Think it will work? Any comments? Or is there anything else that you think might work better? Would love to hear your ideas.
What about a sticker on the back of the car.
LOVE SWINGING
Dit kan werk en hoef nie die heeltyd vertoon te word nie dit sal afhang van persoon tot persoon wat hy wil vertoon en wanneer
people i like the ideas so which one are we going for?
I vote for red cloth on rearview mirror
I like the idea of a red cloth/panty etc....
It will only work if all members are made aware of the new dogging signal
thank you i will also get a red cloth
Will also invest in a red cloth. Maybe a red gstring will catch the eye
Let's see if this sign and idea will take off
Tuesday 12 November from 9:30 at any off the parking spots from SUNSETBEACH and the BIGBAYROAD to MELKBOS

Interested ladies or couple see dogging sites
Most of us should have some red cloth in our vehicles as Bruce said for emergency situations any way (had used it that way a few time in the past myself) so no-one will wonder if unsuspecting open the glovebox and find it in there. Unless of course the chosen item is a panty or bra
If then in the area or mood for some fun, just raise the flag so to speak lol
Just wish our small town had more peeps adventurous enough for it...but will keep the red for when we are in better dogging country!
Red Bruce and i are trying to get something going a Jackson`s Dam , i will be there from 5:30 to 6:00 am for the rest of this week , lets see who shows up , and the Red Cloth can work

k_and _s1 when are you planning to go there?
Went this afternoon to my favourite watching spot, parked and hung the red cloth on the interior mirror. Soon someone drove past, circled back and then pulled up next to me, and asked, "are you perhaps redbruce?". We spent an hour swapping experiences and comparing notes on suitable venues. So the identifier worked for us. Good to meet you, G!!!
Hi it great that it works up north
Have tried it in Capetown and at sites mentioned it seems no one pays attention to it.
Maybe the idea needs promotion to work down in the south
