I have for some time been thinking of a good place on The Mountain
The cemetery above Haenertsburg is one place we have played but vanilla people could be around ...i recently found an alternative at the Ebenezer dam you guys may be interested in checking out
If you go past the Boat Club and the sailing club there is an old access control gate with only wing walls standing and a small gate house. Just past that to left is an open area down below the road over looking Clear Waters across the dam and the sailing club. Apart from a fisherman or two its unlikely anyone wanders past and must be one of the safest places around. Its relatively open but quite large and oh so quiet in the week
Does mean driving a bit out of town but if kept low key and orderly with no noise doubt anyone would even know. Further on is the popular picnic spot Old Smokeys with the Sunset Queen next door but think there is a caretaker from Lepelle that may not let you in at night. Not sure, but don't think any time restrictions and you can even braai there so nice weather weekends would be out probably
But no reason why we could not 'picnic' at first spot I mentioned and make it look legit and would be suitable even for a weekend with show time at sunset...there is only one road in a few residents on hill above and now with Georges Valley road closed there is very little movement from sunset . Also gets misty often so even better and more private. But after dark well...spread out the blankets and could even have an open air gang bang on a nice summers night. It is getting colder now though at night so bring a blankie
