Help!!Where can we to go dogging in and around Krugersdorp?
Hi DH,
Have you had any joy with identifying suitable sites for dogging in Gauteng west? Most of my (good!) experiences have been out east, and a few in the north, but I am not very familiar with the western side of the Rand. But I would imagine the lakes which have developed parkland around them, like Eeufees and Monument, would be good places to start looking for potential. I would stay away from those which are not enclosed, like Lancaster Dam and Robinson Lake, due to easy accessibility by vagrants and potential muggers. And then the public park areas, and their parking areas, are probably good too - I would expect somewhere like Kloofendal to be a potential site.
Let me know what you think / have checked out, and I would love to come and have a look around there too. Always good to know where there is action, or at least potential for action, if you're a watcher!

Just had another look through all 599 posts (as at 24/6/2013) under Gauteng Dogging! DH is right - there are VERY few sites listed for the west rand!! (PLENTY for the East Rand and JHB north and Pta!! Even some for Alberton and Vaal Triangle!)
The couple of places mentioned as potential sites out West include Coronation Park, K'dorp; N14 Highway reststop(?); Model aircraft site off R28 opposite Millsite Station, Randftn; Florida Park High parking; empty plot off Panorama Drive, Constantia Kloof; and Hillfox Flea market parking.
Can anyone add anything to this list, based on positive experiences?

I have been lucky at Brakpan Dam; at Germiston Lake; also once at President Dam in Springs; in the "old days" it was good at Danie Taljaard Park in Benoni and also at Wemmer Pan; out north at Emmarentia Dam and at Golden Harvest Park.
So this afternoon I went to Krugersdorp to have a look around. The Coronation Park / Eeufees Dam area looks like it would be good as a dogging site, nice and big and open, with a few secluded areas. There were a few couples parked up there, one couple getting quite frisky, but didn't take things all the way........
Monument Dam, which I mentioned somewhere else as a possibility, on the other hand, is hopeless, as there is no space.
