Dogging - myth or not?

Ok, so I have been reading and reading and reading in the forums about "Dogging" First, let me be clear, I know nothing other than what I have read. Having said that, I tend to get the impression that it is maybe more of a fantasy than a reality. Most comments are about "I was there but NOTHING was going on" or "there USED to be something going on there" or along those lines . . . It would seem that any body who has "SEEN" anything somewhere may have just in fact stumbled upon some poor couple who have no choice other than to bonk in their car . . . BUT, I state again, this is just how it appears to me. AND now my curiosity is getting the better of me, so anybody around my area (MP) or even GP for that matter (as I am there a few times a week) I would be interested to know if there are such venues.

I hope you read a comment I made on a forum *Dogging posted by slut4bbc on the 13th Apr 2013 - 7:56am.* And redbruce confirmed what I said there. Dogging is happening here in SA(mostly in JHB or used to, I have to say) but due to SOME men being pigs (and here I am actually insulting the poor pig species) it is now something of the past ,as far as I am concerned. The last real dogging events happening is NOT broadcasted.

I am curious too... Does this happen (or has it happened). I am about 500m away from Horwoods Farm. I read that it happens there, so being the curious Goerge that I am, I have gone there extremely often! Nothing! Just council workers alseep on the grass.

Stamina, I would think that most people would fear for their safety at Horwoods farm (I understand hobo's are a bit of an issue there?) what about across the road at the Sports Club ?

The sports club pretty busy I think. Have not checked there though. Just read somewhere here that Horwoods farm every day around lunch time and most weekends... Now I know definately not weekends, I braai there often so the kids can ride bikes and such, that place is busy on weekends with families...

They were probably just a couple meeting for a lunch time shag... More than likely each cheating on a parter, hence the lunchtime meet at a park - I think. Not that I have a problem with that. But just saying they were probably not doggers... Binoculars from a distance dude!! lol :lol:

Borisky, people who drive Lexus' (yes I know it's just a Toyota with a different badge and bigger price tag) should rather go to a hotel if they want to have sex without people watching . . . . Don't let it bother you, but rest assured, they will be back (Stamina, that's a silver Lexus you should watch out for :lol: )

In my view, it DOES happen, but VERY seldom, and you have to be VERY lucky to be in the right place at the right time!
I have been fortunate enough to have been involved in three "proper" dogging experiences (over a period of 13 months), and also another one that didn't quite work out because I got over-excited and made an approach too early. Two of the three were "arranged" events with folks from this site, while the third was a chance meeting with some random folks who were obviously looking to exhibit, and came and parked next to me (see my story - "Real dogging at last"). The one that didn't quite work out was also "arranged" (more like "advertised"), by folks from the site (see my story "Almost Dogging"). The first arranged event was at Germiston Lake, which resulted in me actually joining SH instead of just "lurking" as an unregistered watcher of the site. The other events all took place at Brakpan Dam.
I have also gone to a number of "arranged" events, notably at Zwartkops Lapa, that just didn't happen...
From regular following of this Forum - Dogging, and also the Dogging page (tab between Forum and Stories), it is evident that there have also been a few "proper" dogging events in the Cape, and also recently in Kimberley. And then there are probably also a lot of events that take place, but the folks involved are not forum participants or story authors, and so they don't get written about or "advertised" - they just happen quietly without fanfare!
By far the majority of the public sex "action" that I have watched has likely been the "poor couple who have no choice other than to bonk in their car..." variety, although a lot of this has been quite blatant, almost exhibitionistic, and may well have been intended as "dogging", but without attracting close-up interaction from 3rd parties.
It's often hard to tell when out watching on a public site, whether the participating couple intend others to watch, or are desperately hoping to have a private session without interruption (as Borisky found out at Horwoods). I tend to be conservative (bangbroek?) in my approach, and will only approach a "busy" couple if there is a clear signal that my approach would be welcome (otherwise, I watch "from a distance"). This is why I tend to favour (and promote) "arranged" dogging, so that the participating parties are aware of each other's plans and intentions. Borisky's experience could have turned nasty if the guy had gone as far as to pull a gun on him... And conversely it could also work out badly for the exhibitionistic couple if "the wrong people" (non-doggers, with intent to mug or ) were to approach with the couple thinking that they were actually doggers...!
I've said this before - "dogging" in this country is most likely to be successful (and safer) if it is "arranged", such as through adverts on this SH site. But at the end of the day it's really about being very lucky, being in the right place at the right time with the right participants present! You need to spend time at sites that "have potential". And it's not often that all the variables come together in the right alignment!!!!

Roxi and i were there once during a week morning , there are a lot of "hobo`s" so it does make it difficult , we walked down to where the road goes over the river , under the bridge can be quite safe but no place to sit , and being a bit nervous the first time was difficult to get anything going with a .45 strapped to my hip (as safety was our first issue).
we do thrive on the thrill of out door fun but unfortunately we live in SA and safety is on everybody's minds doing something like this , i think if its an "arranged" thing it does take away the spontaneity of it , but if arranged 3-4 girls and 3-4 guys , it does create the "saftey in numbers" thing
