Hi there, Would LOVE to be there, and would be there like a shot if I could! But unfortunately have family stuff to do on Sunday afternoon. Damn! Just be careful of soggy ground over parts of the site. They are digging trenches to try and drain the water, and even the TLB has got bogged down! Hope the weather is kind to you! Enjoy, whatever happens, and stay safe!! wink

Forgive my ignorance. I found the Brakpan Dam today. Spent about an hour there. I think it is more pleasant towards the left hand side . Seems cleaner, more trees, but hey!, wherever the action is ... No dogging to be had though. Will have to try agin. Was one amorous couple on the grass with a biker sitting watching them from about 20 metres away. Not sure if anything developed there. I had to leave. But yeah, seems like a good venue.

I have spoken with the biker guy, if he's the regular watcher (Yamaha bike, he dresses in black, silver helmet, reflective vest). He visits the site virtually every day (he drives through in early afternoon). He rides past all vehicles where there seems to be anything interesting happening, drives by but then stops and walks in closer if he spies any interesting action. He says he often gets to watch the action, sometimes unknown to the couple, but sometimes with them knowing he is there and carrying on regardless. On a few occasions he has even been invited to join in!!
So it DOES happen! It's just a case of eventually being in the right place at the right time, with the right circumstances, if we can't get anything "organised" on the site! Don't give up - you just have to keep visiting often enough for your luck to turn!

Yip, as a very experienced friend once told me,"Its a waiting game". Thats him, the Yamaha guy, I think he waited in vain this last time tho.
