You look familiar .......

I'm wondering about this a lot. In the past (before I joined SH) when somebody told me that I looked familiar, I would normally chirp (about having a 'common' face, etc.) and then tried to locate the area of acquaintance. Sometimes we find the common ground quickly and then continue the conversation as if there was no lapse in time. Nowadays when we walk in a Mall, or during my Gym time or anywhere in public and I see people and wonder if they are on SH (I'm always alert to see if I can identify someone from SH!). So far nobody gave me the the 'wink' and said I know you from somewhere! redface

Has anyone lately come up to you and said that they recognise your from SH? Any experience at work, in the public that you distinctively identified as someone from SH? What would be the best way to handle it? If you did recognise someone what happened afterwards??

I have this almighty problem of having this ordinary face , sort of bulldog-ish and ordinary brown eyes, lucky for me with out the drool... I work with the public,and it happens people greet you as if you are a long lost friend, and I would not know who the heck they are. I usually stay say hello but explain I have a very bad memory with people`s faces and soon I know who is speaking to me ,when they tell me where we have met before. I do not mind if someone tells me they are from a certain site and knows me,as everyone in my family and my lover knows what I do ,when I do, and with whom I do ..very naughty things. I myself however will never greet anyone first if they are with someone, I KNOW what NSA means and I know what discretion means. It does not make me feel bad about myself If someone ignores me when they are with their loved ones. I have never met anyone NEW form SH no....and Gerrie, I would walk over you and NOT recognize you...how can I..with the little you show off yourself?? Well , the rest of the men and women...THEY will have to be *nekid* for me to check their very sexy butts and genitals MAYBE just maybe I would recognize some from their naughty pics on here.

Funny thing is, just after we joined the site first time last year I started chatting with a single from our town. We agreed to swop face pics with him mailing it to our then I would invite him to our folder with the face pics in. After opening the mail I showed it to Mr E......and he realised he knows the chap from work!! He then phoned him and teased him asking him what pics is he sending to his wife! :twisted: Needless to say took him few minutes to put 2 and 2 together lol

After that we justed stayed to chatting since the 2 gents did not feel like hooking up for a play date. Although must admit I would not, and still won't mind meeting him and his wife for some fun wink

I just started working at this big company, i was at the front desk when a very good looking older man walked in, he looked familiar but i didnt think anything of it. Everytime our eyes caught he smiled and blushed, i couldnt put my finger on it . Later when he was done with meeting he came over to me and said hi kitty. I was like wtf lol. He left and then later in evening chatted to me on SH and we still chat but i havent seen him again.

Are you afraid of being recognized in general or just being recognized from SH? If you have a general fear of being recognized by anyone/everyone, this must be debilitating for you......not to mention the emotional stress it must cause your family, friends and colleagues lol If you are afraid of being recognized from SH, I need to ask why? The person recognizing you was also clearly on this site ..... How do you handle being recognized from your local pub or old school?

I love it. I was wondering how you get 'recognized' from SH, if you hadn't purposefully shown the person in question your face. If you put you face out publicly on the site, this shouldn't come as a surprise. And if you gave them your picture or access to it, if they didn't recognize you I would worry about their mental faculties.
