I didn't say it must be removed, only that it is moved somewhere else. Where one makes a conscious decision to like. I appreciate that it has been moved lower down, but it's still in harms way. But what can do.
Great smile now this is incident is why this site works. (Sorry to harp again) Some of the other sites that we have been on over the years they would have done nothing about it, one which was (still is????) a well known sa site. Even though we werent affected Thanks Admins wink lol
Just curious as to how the like button links your SH profile to your FB profile. My user name and email address to not match FB details - where else does it find a match?

Your browser does the matching.

"Your browser does the matching." Sorry to be on the ban wagon again. Hope i am reading it wrong but what the Mod said, my private details on SH and my private details on Facebook been match by my browser, that means you had no privacy . Hope i understand it wrong.
@Adonis
Unfortunately, if you have a browser setting on YOUR computer that collects and saves your passwords, so that if you go to sites like Facebook, you don't actually have to log on, it just does it automatically, then you have given your browser power to sign on, on your behalf. YOU set up your own browser settings (or at least it's assumed you do, since it's yours and you own it and no one else has access to it), so if you set it up to save your passwords - you are the one giving away your own privacy/security.
My suggestion is to clean up your temp files including all the cookies and passwords and when your browser asks you if you want to save a password for a site tell it NO NEVER! Then it won't do anything automatically, but you'll always know when it's posting things to Facebook, because it will ask you to log in EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Same on your cell phone. EXCEPT: DO NOT download appslike Facebook on your smartphone, they work by saving the password automatically (without asking) and just doing all the linking and liking without asking for verification or login requests.
If you do not know how to clean up your cookies/passwords/cache/temp files (called a "DiskCleanup") - a quick search of Youtube or Google should give you a step by step - remember to use your version of windows name in your search because each version may work slightly differently.
Never allow browsers to store passwords. Use Lastpass.

Why use anything, when the pop up comes up asking if your user name and password should be stored for a site, just click the "never for this site" option.
You should have your settings to allow your password to be stored, always enter user name and password manually and logout when closing window. There are legal ramifications to anything that is used by you. If someone has access to your user name and password for any e-mail/social media they can cancel or enter into an agreement on your behalf, and the onus is on you to prove that it was not you.
The only contract or agreement where an electronic signature (your name at the bottom of your e-mail, or user name at the bottom of the PM that you sent) is not accepted is for the transfer of a property or for drawing up of a will. There have been a few test cases through all the levels of courts in RSA.
I am not using a pc. I am using my smart phone. I have fb and twitter as apps so if I share or click like it automatically goes through. But oh well, my family found out. So regardless if I delete the apps or what ever doesn't matter now. My phone is linked to most of everything like bbm, email, google plus, bbm and what's app. I can't delete and reload those all the time. So in conclusion the only way to avoid the like button on this site is to browse very very slowly and carefully, zoom in so my nails don't hit the button by accident. Or alternately, leave the site all together.

Hi Kitty smile wasn't referring to you, just a general statement. Same thing goes for anything that you send and receive messages on.
