Hey. I would love to know some of you a little more accurately, if you follow. .. so I have a question. .. what are you reading at the moment. .. books, papers, sites, mags whatever. I have stuff I whip through and other things I've been chewing on for years. Share. .. what do you download in to your brain?
At the moment I'm reading our local paper, also a book (real one) The Art of War. I don't really do mags nothing is appealing, reading an artical on the internet though-latin every "man" should know.
I'm reading she come first by some random guy. It's fairly interesting but I think it's more for her then guys ;)
My taste in reading material is quite different to most.
At the moment I am reading two titles. The Steve jobs biography as well as a book called currency wars
I have a few books on my nightstand, as in fact all over my home, It is mostly things like *common shit* most people will call it.
I currently dislike factual books, I like common shit, it is fast easy to read and forgettable.
JUST what I need in this Fucked up world we live in...and ...with me currently being old and negative towards life.
At the moment I'm reading Emma's Humiliatuon by Hillary James (BDSM)
And of late I've read a lot of this forum.
ON my way to work but can not resist this..
WHY read about it (BDSM)if you can experience it for REAL?? whether you are a TOP or BOTTOM..or sub or Domme/Dom
I have a book of Lesbian Erotica next to my bed...
Okey am I then the bit different one...?
Busy with Deon Myer's latest book, Kobra. Read all of his work. I like fiction, also science fiction. Book's are my escape for a few hours to a another place.
As for the news paper only read our town's local paper which is published once a week. Mostly because my kids school will put pics of their outings and activities in it and they were in some of the pics in the past lol.
As a kid my three library books gotten on Friday afternoon was finished by Sat morn so I used to read the encyclopedias that we had in the house for the rest of the weekend.
I'm like you Erotic-Nauty...I could just about read anything I can get my hands on.
My problem is twofold. Buying books can be expensive at this rate, so second hand book shops are most probably where you will find me on a Saturday morning. And then, I can't get myself to dispose of books already read, so I have to keep finding place for and buying further book cases...
Preferences are anything Stephen King, sci-fi and fantasy - an escape mechanism from my fucked up reality I guess
@ Flag I know just how you feel about your books.
I love mine, even if I think them common shit books....
I sooooo wanted a Kindle but can not for the love of me NOT GO GREEN and NOT smell and TURN pages, when I read.
I sorta speed read,I dislike NOT finishing a book once I finish the one I am busy reading until finished.
I also tend to re-read some interesting books.
I have a room of self build wall book racks.
I once had to really Sell all my books which filled a little truck from the back to the front, canopy high, to make new space for new books...It WAS a sad day for me...I still miss some of those books!!!
Now my space is once more overcrowded and I am thinking of selling most books again...well all of them really ,but can not for the love of me NOT advertise them ....as I like to let them all go at once so I do not have to change my mind selling books one by , they are like children to me!!!!
I have this second hand bookseller who is a friend of mine, she buys new books and gets a discount so I buy new books through her!!!
I will NEVER be able to read on a Kindle.
I stare at computer screens enough. Even at work I would rather print out the opinions that I need to review and make amendments in pen - pisses off my younger staff members to no end!
im reading the last book of the "magician" series its "the darkness at sethanon" by raymond e feist . i do like fantasy fiction.i have the spud books lying here some where .also 'first blood' by david morrel ....a much better book than the takes you through a vietnam vet's journey to insanity.(everyone will know the movie as Rambo).i have the new dan brown book 'inferno' on the ipad , will get to it once im done with my current a one book at a time typa guy
@ Ash I loved all David Morrel` Books and yeah I loved First Blood the BOOK!!!
I dislike reading books and then to go see the movies, the Movies are NEVER , NEVER the always seems to disappoint me.
@ Lee and Flagg I know a kindle is really the future and a SPACE saver and best of all,DUST free. And I would believe it is such a pleasure to have on holidays, I can remember always having a case of books where ever I went, and good gosh heavy as I just love the paper smell and turning of the pages.
I always have to smile..
I love bookstores, could browse for HOURS and HOURS being it a second hand store or Book Bargains or CNA or the Grander bookstores...I love them all.
Lynette again Loves a BUTCHER or meat counters at shopping malls..SHE again can Browse meat like I browse of us gets annoyed with the other when our separate browsing`s areas take to long for the other...Have to smile when telling this, just shows how different people really are.
@ Mike_Pta
I know all the positive sides of a Kindle and I know I could then store all my books...especially NO DUST....BUT If I had to re-buy all the books I already have or Had It will fill a small Library that is to say if I had kept EVERY book I ever it is my current bookshelves are stacked with double rows of books. And my shelves is from the ceiling, wall to wall on two walls of the same room.
Ahhhh to have More space...and dust free area`s.
@PiB
Do what I did. Find a kindle on olx and give it a shot, if you don't like it then you can sell it for what you paid for it.
