Tips for Ladies suffering from "nasty symptoms"

I've had a few requests for info that I elluded to in another thread regarding managing frequent thrush and BV attacks.
I've decided that I should put this up here:
Key difference between the two "nasties" that I mention is that Thrushis a fungal infection and can be the unpleasant side-effect after taking antibiotics, because the antibiotics kill ALL the bacteria (including the one that keeps the fungal spores under control) in your system - not just the bad bacteria. Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is a bacterial infection, which is "BAD" bacteria, usually present in only trace amounts, that has gotten out of control and is usually caused by alkaline pH levels, or foreign objects in the vagina, general bad health and encouraged and or triggered by any number of minor irritations (soaps, bubble bath, nylon undies, cystitis, prolonged illness like flu, irregular bathing etc etc.)
Ladies: Under normal healthy circumstances your vagina should have a pH level of between 3 and 4.5 (pretty acid)
In this environment you have GOOD bacteria present which keep the BAD bacteria and the fungal spores (candida) under control. Semen is pH around 7 or 8 (alkaline)!
pH works much like simple maths - if your vagina is at 4 and then you add semen at 8 your vagina is now completely alkaline - which means all that BAD bacteria and fungal spores are thinking it's Christmas!!
If you add any lubricants with any glycerine/flavouring/colouring into the mix - these break down into sugars that FEED the candida and bacteria - Now it's Christmas AND New Years AND a full 6 course dinner party in there for those nasties and they go nuts!
Now if you're following me on the pH thing - lets talk about foreplay, finger play, even with recently washed hands as well as showering/washing your bits:
Water pH is about 6 or 7, standard soap is between 7 & 9.... So anything you're using in the play process has the potential to throw off your pH level.
Under normal circumstances most vaginas will take around 8 hours to naturally return to the correct pH level, but if you have been suffering a long time you might have nuclear strength fungal spores or bad bacteria - plus they may have been calling all the shots for a while now, so they don't need much time or encouragement to get out of hand, so you need some "help" to get things back to "normal"; the key here is AFTER you're done playing (particularly if you have semen in or on you) you need to get that pH level back to normal as fast as possible, allowing those spores and bacteria absolutely no chance to even think about doing anything.
My super easy, do it yourself suggestions, go shopping and get:
a bottle of standard cider vinegar (any supermarket) - a small one will do for this test
a 20cc syringe - no needle OR a proper douche bag/nozzle kit (any chemist)
a small bottle of colloidal silver - this you might need to find at a health shop but if you're lucky you can find it at your chemist.
If you are suffering:
After sex/foreplay, load into the syringe 2cc colloidal silver, then add 2cc vinegar, then fill up the rest of the syringe with body temp water (warm) and douche with this (spray gently up into the vagina if using the syringe - best done in the shower)
- you can obviously use the same proportions for a larger volume douche mix but I find the 20cc more than sufficient to simply rinse out any pH affecting intruders and instantly get my levels back to normal.
I imagine using a colloidal silver gel, and spreading it around inside about half an hour before you shower (when you rinse with the vinegar solution) might have the same healing results. But remember it has pH between 5 and 7 so you need to use the vinegar solution after to fix your pH again.
If you are preventing an episode:
As above, without the silver. Remember you should do this as well if you've had sex more than twice in 8 hours
If you are a "sufferer" - ensure the soap/shower gel that YOU use to wash yourself is pH neutral (pH 5.5 - also labeled "balanced") and get yourself a vaginal wash - it should say pH level is between 3 and 4.5 on the bottle - Dischem have a very good reasonably priced range of them. Do not use anything alkaline anywhere near your bits, ever, and stay away from bath foam, oils, salts etc. If you use wipes check their pH. Used your rinse during periods, once a day - they can also be a trigger!
Stay FAR away from coloured, flavoured or tingle/heat type lubes and condoms - and make sure you disinfect your toys with disinfectant wipes or dettol/savlon on a moist cloth.
Add Omega 3 and 6 to your supplements too - this also helps keep infections to a minimum!
I suffered from almost permanent discomfort for about 9 years straight and these simple additions (I keep my cider vinegar & syringe IN the shower!) I'm completely complaint free now for 2 years!
I hope this is helpful!

lee where can i do this course of yours so i can become a certified applicator of your cleaning method ... jokes aside i lived with a lady who had these issues the wrong underwear made her flame sure the ladies thank you for this herbal remedy.
Mr K and i went away for romantic evening and hell lol. I've always been a "sensitive" female - the dr told me to use baby soap cos its ph balance and theres no perfumes(well strong kind) and weird stuff in it. I too do the vinegar thing and stay away from nylon panties and durex condoms. Shame poor Mr K i hope he reads this cos he thinks its all his fault. Oh and another remedy is plain yoghurt yes... I said yoghurt
Yoghurt is good for thrush but if you have pH problems causing BV - yogurt is one of the WORST options, so make sure you're suffering from Thrush before you use it.
While lady bits are my favourite topic, it's such a pity we seem to be watching a group of ladies discussing "broken" lady bits . . . . well try as you may, you will never turn me off the lovely delicious tender velvety . . . .oh look, I went off on a single minded tangent . . . .
If YOU had broken bits then we would try our bestest to advise you on how to fix them too....

Any candida infection.

Awesome.
My gynae recommended a product called Gynaguard, vaginal capsules. Basically it is a vaginal probiotic, which helps get the pH down to where it should be. She recommended it because I have a naturally high level of candida bacteria, without symptoms.. But, I find that for some reason, when I wear pantyliners, I start to feel the beginnings of candida symptoms... When that happens, I just pop in a Gynaguard capsule, and in an hour or so the symptoms have gone away! (I think pantyliners and such do not allow any airflow onto the vuvla, which makes the bacteria very happy) ;) C
