Time wasters or Potential scam

This has probably happen to more people and have been posted here a few times but I feel I should voice my anger.

So after not using the site for a few years and getting back into things I say hi to a few profiles, read some stories and forums having a fun time. 2 Profiles on separate occasions respond and we chat and they say let's talk on (This is now a no go for me) After a few chats we plan to meet for drinks and just chat nothing serious planned. Now I am waiting at the bar 10 min early, I chat them (On ) to tell them where to find me in the bar "I am almost there" is the response I get. All is good. 10 min, 20 min, 30 min later (My mistake for waiting so long) I get no reply on , I check this site to see if the messaged me here and boom blocked.

Why? Why waste my time? Why do such a thing? If you don't want to meet me SAY so. If you don't want to talk to me SAY so. I have enough regular S*** in my life I don't need this as well.

So I will ask a question to the community: How do you filter out things like this? I now only use and this site for communication. The profiles were active for over 6 months and had vouches. So not new scam profiles.

We've had this in the past. At least when there are 2 of us, if the other person/people don't show up, you have someone with you to finish your coffee with before leaving.

We've had this with singles and couples.

It's incredibly rude to not show up. At least let us know you won't make it, instead of saying that you're running late and then no show!

Yeah at least you can talk to someone as a couple.

But it's more humiliating for me sitting there for half an hour looking at my phone periodically see I was blocked for no reason and then leave.

But I have to keep my hopes up That I will meet a few friends.

On a separate note but related in a way, I experienced a male profile claiming to be a "Couple" and keen on NSA fun at a popular spot. "They refused to video call to prove they genuine which was already a red flag. I played along with the arrangement to meet only to get the text that I should EWallet him money for her transport to get to the venue. I refused and was blocked. Scumbags all over hey

There has been many new profiles using this site to "Make a video for Pornhub".....As well as...."Pay for my Uber....and make it worth my while"....Clearly these are using the site for monetary gain.

I don't usually contribute out loud, but given the nature of this site and the potential risks, I thought I might mention a few things:

1 If you don't KNOW the person / people you are meeting - don't go straight to their address. Genuine folk will agree to meet at an open convenient venue.

2 Don't give out your main Phone number. Use an alternate. And NEVER send out compromising pics of yourself which means don't send out anything you would not want your wife/mum/sister/work people to see.

3 Don't tell Unknown people where you live or work.

4 If you do go out, alone, and No-one else knows where you went, or when, and you are engaging in "adult meets" - its always exciting, fun etc but its RISKY. always remember that.

Maybe someone will benefit from this kind of thinking - I hope so. Keep safe is all.
