Swingingheaven just got AWESOME

I must admit. I love the changes that are taking place on the site. Hopefully it will make the site more interactive.

We agree that most of the changes have been an improvement but the activity feed seriously doesnt work for us 

Too much information we dont want or need and not enough of what we want 

We honestly dont have any interest is being told to view someones profile who profile has zero in common with what we are looking for 

We have gone through this process in Dec and Jan a few times and had hoped Admin had listerned to all the complaints regarding the activity feed , but clearly our opinions and wishes didnt matter 

Yes we are annoyed infact so unhappy about this change we are concidering closing our account if it stays 

Must admit, I rarely leave the forum. So I haven't gotten around to seeing these awesome improvements you speak of.

Agreed...the activity feed is just way too busy now, not liking the new layout at all! But...guess we'll get used to it.

Surely, with the whole new (brought back - it was there before, and got LOTS of vociferous objections, so not sure why it is back, honestly!) activity feed on the home page, you can read it if you want to or, or just plain ignore it and go straight to the menu area of choice?  If it irritates you, just click straight away on Entertainment -> Forum...., and it goes away ;-)

Now we have to read through all the unwanted crap to finally get to what we were looking for that was there on the home page and easy to access all along 

What I also dont get is if so many people disliked it before (and from what I saw it hasnt changed much in format) why bring it back in the first ... Or second ....or third place 

It also makes no sense to spend countless hours writting the code for it if the intention was for people to ignore it Does it?

Ill say it again why bring back something most people cleary disliked so agressively before Did Admin honestly believe we wouldnt notice or suddendly like something we didnt before or worst expect us to accept it because we had no choice 

We do have a choice and admin will eventually realise that when they see people leaving in numbers Not because the home page changed but because they refused to listen 

Agree with the all above, but also dont get why personals are rehashed as new all the time. Some of the "new" ads have dates going back to December

I thought it was a pretty good change. It would work out better if all posts were rather those from friends apposed to unknown people from all over the site. I agree that a lot of what you find on the homepage is unwanted and for that reason a filter would be perfect to rid yourself of unwanted content..

Tell me one thing that was on the old home page that can't be found by the links on the top right of the new page

I never once said that I could not find anything I was looking for . Only that it was now a mission sifting through all the unwanted info forced down our throats . Untill this afternoon the "views" botton also didnt work as it does now. 

My biggest gripe about it is all the unwanted info . Yes I conceed that some may want to know who posted pics hundreds of kms from them but many of us dont There is just too much info that we dont want and we have very little choice to avoid it If there were fliters like a previous poster mentioned it may improve the situation 

Well you did say " we have to read through all the unwanted crap to finally get to what we were looking for" when you don't actually have to read any of the "crap", all you have to do is click on one of the links to get what you looking for, the last couple of members that viewed your profile are still there plus everything else.

You know feedback isn't a bad thing for us, but constructive feedback is always better as some of the posts and the way they're written just indicate a reluctance to accept change and help make improvements, the feed is still under development and will be changing as time moves on to make it better, suggestions such as filters are good, it would also be good to hear ideas about what you'd like to see that isn't there.

At the end of the day the homepage is a starting point for everyone to get where they want to go on the site, our aim is to make it as useful as we can for both new members and existing ones, even with the old one I doubt anyone would log in and spend all of their time here staring at it rather than exploring the site and doing what they like to do here.

I like it. The only bug so far is that if you click on a sent message (as yet unread) it picks up on your newsfeed as having been read by the recipient. Hence I have messages saying my message has just been read by someone that hasn't been online for 4 days... That gets confusing as hell.

To be absolutely honest this is first time I have been really disappointed on the changes that have been made to the site.

That one should be fixed in the next update

the activity feed is a waste of time..why does it show me pics that people have uploaded 2 years ago

i actually quite like the new look. The activity feed works well. It allows you to see how many visits to your profile and how many times. I think that is awesome. You quickly get a sense of who is really interested in your profile

Hello all, 

I have read through all the concerns about the home page and although I am honestly not totally happy with it myself, I realise that it is a work in progress. Thanks to Admin for listening to the hundreds of comments and "suggestions" , here and via the support tickets (no matter how rude some might be) to improve this. 

It is always nice to remember that many features on this site are free and yes some now have to pay for advanced features it is still an easy to navigate and very interactive site. I have seen many changes to the site in the time I have been here and I have been very impressed by how much the owners have put into this and the many sister sites all over the world. Well done!!! 

Please also remember that when you go to your profile page and edit your likes and dislikes there, including the distance of people you might be interested in, it makes your home page / activity feed work a little more accurately. In essence, if you don't tell the feed what you would like how is it to know, codes can only pick up so much. 

For those having a problem with the mobile sites please send a support ticket to admin so that they can determine your operating system and help to get it working, If they have not configured it yet, then it gives them the opportunity to determine the need. Again if you don't tell them they will not know...

My 2cents worth: it was a cool site to begin with, no horseshit or frills, find the new format more awkward than it was before, realize that "progress" is inevitable, the need to "adjust" is pervasive and universal, why make a big deal about it, nothing really matters anyway........

I cant sign in to Samsunggirl   it brings up my other profile  irish2  my msg are not being delivered
