Just want to blow off a little steam here. It is noticable how many new profiles opened up since Jan 14. I can guess a lot of them are just curious, but what irks me it the rudeness factor also increased along with the new profiles.
I was just looking at the cams this afternoon and saw a gentleman from Gauteng who also joined Feb 14 giving someone the finger on cam. While I was busy wondering if he is trying to show wetness on his finger :-) , a chat box opened up with a brunt message "I'm not into men" I almost sent him a very rude message, but did not. Is he trying to tell everybody that no man can even look at his cam !
I dont think this is the spirit of this site. Behaviour like this will surely drive people away.
OK I'm feeling better now
I get the craziest messages, I know not the same thing here.
Messages like - "let's meet, I wanna f*ck" oh my word, what is up with that.
Some of these "men" should grow up.
Don't worry Anny they these men also ask us the question man on man !!!
The rudeness seems mostly to be a testosterone thing.
Fortunately not all guys are like that but you have to be aware.
Have to say, it is more often the new profiles that gets scared off by older rude and pushy members and we've seen many give it up.
As for Cams, if someone is picky about who is watching, they should only open their Cam in a private room with a Password.
Rudeness is an Internet and South African culture.
People we can complain and complain nothing will help if we not report the people who have no manners.
If we report them they will have a track record for the mods to act on
I must agree.. Its strange how some people believe that they can be rude when online ..
However they would not allow anyone to talk to their girlfriend or wife or partner the way they speak to people online ...
How is it right ..
Lets report them and see if WE can change the culture together..
I'm afraid I have to agree with Adonis - if you don't report - nothing changes.
But be helpful and complete in your complaints and copy the offensive text into the report so that we have evidence to act on.
Welcome to the Internet where people hide behind profiles and think they can be assholes.
3 points to keep with you on you travels
1. Don't take it personally, some people think they are alone on the Internet
2. Show respect to others, you never know who you might run into. (I swear I saw my boss here)
3. Use the report buttons, mods can't catch everything and need the help.
Thank goodness for the ignore button. We have put a couple of people on that list and it never seems to end. All is well though. Can't expect everyone to be to kind hey. Its just life. We all meet people we don't like and the best we can do is avoid their company and keep to what makes life worth living..
Ok, so now Ashlee has me wondering. What actually happens when you click the Ignore button on a message?
These homo phobes aggravates us all, one moment they even chat you up and then get upset and become rude
