Hello Hello all. To admons, mods and all involved with keeping this site in tip top shape. "i would like to thank ya'll".....you see. Ive discovered some shocking truths about what ive unknowingly allowed my laptop to be exposed to....and the reason for my thank. None of the unwanted "entries or virusses" have come from SH....Good job guys! Okay. so back to my syphilis infested Lenovo Laptop. I started reading about something called silk road....its a website /server thats been seized by the FBI and no longer available or running. Which is referred to as the "DARK NET" or better yet, the "shady" "dodgy" and unsavoury "alleys" where illegal and unethical transactions were taking place.(guns, drugs and dangerous wisdom). My curiousity was getting the better of me and further readings let to me discovering a "black Shade" Virus or RAT . This "virus" has been traded amongst "internet traders" in order to gain access in the most invading way to your inner most personal life.....your WEBCAM! Essentially your webcam can be controlled by the person to see/hear what you do at ANY TIME that you are in the webcam view..... Think for a second....how much personal information is discussed whilst that laptop is standing open and NOT SHUT DOWN! casually over a telephone call, or in discussion. Do you work with sensitive information at work? Corporate espionage straight out of an Ian Flemming "james Bond" book ill tell you. Personally I cam alot in chatrooms. Paranoia set in as i read of cases where a hacker, sometimes thousands of miles away or just a block away. were able to use video material and information to blackmail a victim. Even work out a routine around your schedule. Immediately i ran a series of tests that were said to pick up these demonic codes of doom , (viruses). Even went as far as to individually go through tons of data to look for certain mentioned irregularities......unfortuanately I was able to pick up 3 such entries made into my They were first analyzed then banished to eternal hell and brimstone (i hope coz im kicking a moer expensive antivirus, which has now shattered my faith) I thought SH mightve been the cause...turns out not, I know your saying - "aaaaah , dodgy porn sites", Which is not the case, but rather from an message recieved from google chat, at a time my colleauge's account was hacked. the message instructed me to open a photo. which turned out to be nothing, but "permission" from me to install this "thing". (besides i get my porno from RELIABLE sources) e/g adultshops, coz i like the "feel" of a DVD disk " If admin is fine with it (PLEASE GET BACK TO ME) Id like to post verified and reliable methods of prevention and protection by using URL"'s? If not, please also just pop a comment as a way of notification. Thanks for reading my Looooong post. To IT tech's and Computer whizzes out there who wish to correct me on certain things i mightve gotten wrong (techno nazi's) please dont......keep any snotty comments to yourselves and your friends.....Im not an IT expert. anyways...
what i didnt mention.... Porn sites and "dating sites" are ripe grounds for administering the mentioned virus.....tread lightly
A friend of mine had the same experience, I simply downloaded a free trial version of HITMAN PRO and put a more stable and free Anti-virus like AVAST onto his machine.
Problem sorted
I would think I am already *hacked* and attacked.....even thought I am very paranoid!!!!! Now I just need a IT person to come sort out my PC who is also KINKY and a Lifestyler who will not raise his or her eyebrows at what they might find on my PC...... HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLllllllllllllllllppppppppppppppppppppppppp!!! Irish you in the country at this moment??? Help...echo echo echo.....helpppppppppppppppppppppppp
I would like the guys and girls at my favorite PC store to cum check out my pc
Well said but I just want to add something. Spend a bit extra and get bitdefender or Norton Internet security, it's a once a year cost thats like R300 and covers most of your Internet browsing to keep you safe when you're not looking. It's really simple and easy. I'm shocked how many people ignore an antivirus programme after spending a small fortune on their pc.
I think we all have an antivirus program on our PC`s.....but is it enough???

I'm not gonna pretend it's full proof but if you get one of those Internet ones it helps. In Google it will point out which sites are safe and so via a green tick next to to name in a Google search. Those ones normally monitor your Internet and prevent programs being install etc.

@Mike_Pta, I would agree with you, but only 98%.
the problem with PC users is that we are always in too much of a hurry, so we seldom read what is on the pop up screen or info squares on the PC and just simply click yes or next or whatever they have there.
Most (if not all) the AV or Monitoring software programmes available have their own little agenda, so for those that don't know the process quite as well as people like Mike_Pta, I would suggest you try and exercise a little more patience and read what the screens say and be in less of a hurry to see the booby pics . .
Adult and swingers site will all be prey for those who try to distribute malware. A dangerous one is the Conduit virus, which hooks into your browser and redirects you to all sorts of sites you would not normally visit. As I am online plenty between this site, my sport site and spending hours researching on the internet, I am more vulnerable than most. I run Avast for normal online security, with SpyHunter to catch the malware and tracking programs that Avast cannot catch.
