An idea from little old me. I do however "warn" everyone that this idea would put an almost end to any of us being able to rant and rave about people and their profiles . . . . wink In general we all have the experience of reading through a profile and finding at the end that their choices of playmates contradicts what the rest of the profile says ie: looking for Straight Male and or Bi-Male only to have in the wright up NO SINGLE MALES. These profiles should be saying Couple with X or Y if they are not looking for a SINGLE MALE . . . . but they rather do it the other way round and then bitch and moan and complain about the people who contact them saying they don't read the profile correctly, well maybe it's more of a "don't compile the profile correctly". So my suggestion is : let's all report the contradicting profiles (as above) to admin and then admin simply cleans them up . . . . can you hear the chirps of disgust and annoyance flying out of the admin room at this point . . hahahaha Ok, so I am just being humorous in my own (window licking) special way. However, let's rather just send the people a message asking what they actually want (who knows, you may actually be doing them a favour) instead of jumping on the forum and behaving like someone who has been done an injustice.
Fully agree with your suggestion write a mail and said to the profile holder your ad contradict your wording in a good and nice manner. If he then threw his toys out the cot, he not deserve to be on the site
personally, I can see why couples ma ask for couples only and tick the strait male box as the may want the male in the couple they wish to meat to be strait, but at the same time do not wish to be contacted by single males.
The real problem is that EVERYONE keeps equating "single male" with "straight male" they are NOT THE SAME THING. and the way you are asked to tick the boxes on "sign up" doesn't indicate that choosing those options speaks to the marital or partnered status of the profiles you'll be interacting with - the question focuses on a person's SEXUAL ORIENTATION - so it makes complete sense that people tick those boxes. The problem is in fact, a missing search filter for a profile type

If the question focuses on the sexual orientation of the person (yes, I know it actually does) then that proves the other theories listed in the other forum about why singles contact couples (you know, the one where a few people suggested people were either stupid or weird or the profile was not clearly written or even all three) . . .
There are a number of profiles with the male listed as Bi-Curious, and then it states clearly that only woman should respond and males should stay away . . .
I think we make way too many excuses for these kinds of people, if you don't fully understand the meaning of some or other terminology, then bloody well look it up before you tick a box, because after you tick it, people are going to start contacting you and then you start moaning and groaning ooops, I mean complaining that certain types of people contact you that should not :small-print::sleeping::fuckinghell::jagsatwork::undecided:

Good example is the watersports box, you'll be surprised by how many think it refers to water skiing, swimming etc.......
So on the one hand agreed that people should read up on meanings in context and slang but can also say that many couples have idiotic profiles leaving so much open to interpretation at one end and how well you. Nose opperates on the other.
Advice for single guys, unless a couple specifically says they open for single guys, rather avoid them
