I ran across a post over at ! In which a user posted the question. *Is kissing more intimate than sex?* The girl who posted it said that her boyfriend had stated that he would have a harder time if she kissed someone else, than if she had sex with someone else. The hundred or so comments from both men and women were interesting to read. I think that both kissing and sex are extremely intimate activities but have to agree that there is a difference between them. That made me wonder: Isn't oral sex with a woman more intimate than kissing her? A lot of couples do soft swinging where penetrating the playmate is not allowed, but giving oral and having the woman climax with your tongue and lips is okay?? I love kissing and had the most amazing orgasms kissing without any sex We women are fortunate having two sets of lips for some serious French Kissing... So.... @PIB, i also think kissing is more sensual than having sex.... note ... i am saying sensual... as i love kissing and find it essential in the sexual act. I once had a girlfriend who had easily orgasmed just by kissing each other...and that is something really spcial. So... yes... kissing is very intimate and the key for me to a wonderful sexual experience for both partners.

I do GET the no kissing rule, in a lifestyle like this everything that is considered "intimate" and private about a marriage is shared with someone else outside that bond. Sometimes it's nice to keep something for JUST the two of you. We don't have it though... Something else is reserved for the hubby :twisted:

I guess that maybe because sex has become so commonplace and easy that it has lost pretty much all intimacy. Kissing is still (to me) something special between lovers, something very personal and erotic.

The sweet passionate embrace. Tongues locked. I guess most people are afraid of the reaction and feelings that would be expressed through a kiss. It would stir up feelings of like and love. Fear that if they kiss then things will change between existing partners. The key is your objective and focus must be clear before the embrace. But then again that might be difficult.
