How sad is it that Oscar Pistorius allegedly shot and killed
I only read about this, when you posted the missed the news!
I went to google and read what happened but not much is being said.
It is a sad thing to happen.
She was a very sexy lady from what I can see from her photo.
There is unhappy days for everyone some on really special days.
Mine is always on a New Years day...
This event has affected me all day.
Really tragic but it seems there was always the potential for violence in his life.
Such a pity that something was not done earlier when the trend became apparent.
As a father of a beautiful lady I am devastated and feel crushed and have tremendous sympathy for her parents, and his.
"Suspected burglar" shot 4 times in the head and another shot,???? you believe that you also believe in father christmas and the virgin birth.
The story as I hear, was that Reeva was going to surprise Oscar for valentines. He thought she was a bruglar and he shot her. Apparently he has a 9mm pistol and a machine gun in his house.
Question is: why fire 4 shots? Does not make sense. Why did he not fire any warning shots if there was a burglar. Legally you have to fire warning shots. He lives in such a posh estate. Looks like security is quite beefed up. So how can there be a burglar?
There has been stories of his infidelity and some cases of domestic violence at his home. Police frequented his house often.
Ever since last year in the paralympic games, when he complained about the other runners having longer blades than him, my perspective of him changed.
Well hopefully for his sake he is telling the truth. As it looks, the evidence looks if he committed murder.
whatever the courts findings..........his life is destroyed. if he's guilty of murder, he'll get what he deserves in jail. if he's innocent, he'll live with guilt and regret for the rest of his life. the sporting world is vicious, i know! so his career is over, all it takes from a fellow competitor is to mention this to him on the track before the race, and he's done for. again, i know what i'm talking about, i used to be a provincial athlete.
Reeva was such a beautiful, kind woman, it's really sad that her life and all she worked for was so abruptly ended. one person's minute of madness can destroy so many people. my prayers and sympathy goes out to their respective families, both sides will suffer. oscar lost his mother at the age of 15, so clearly there's issues there as well.

The new story was that Reeva was in the bathroom and Oscar fired at her through the door. Apparently cops were at his place 2hrs before. There was a call made by neighbors for domestic issues.

This is like that thing I heard on the radio a couple of weeks back - some guy fell to his death (not immediate) and the person trying to keep him alive said that a bunch of people stood around and took pictures and twittered and all sorts but not ONE person bothered to actually offer their help!!

yep........ the jokes on twitter as well. In any other setting it would've been hilarious, but a beautiful person lost her life here, so this is not the time or place for it. And LeeEC, thats human nature. The advent of cell phones with cameras has turned everyone into papprazzi. you see it everywhere, road accidents, people tripping and falling in public(old people mostly), thats how it is. no use getting upset, all we can do is to try and do the right thing when and if the occasion arises.
Its not all bad though, there are many many good people out there, unsung heroes. so i think, overall, there's a lot more good people than bad people.

what is truly tragic is that this sort of killing is a weekly affair in SA.i know of 4 cases where this sort of killing or boyfriends loosing control and in all cases the evidence was there that these people will do serious harm..as far as the jokes go,, that is part and parcel of being a celeb its the good with the bad unfortunately

Jokes will always be there as long as you are a fallen celeb. What about OJ Simpson? The jokes about him was all over. And in those days there was no twitter of facebook or any social media.
And then there Lance Armstrong, Tiger Woods. There will always be jokes. It is human nature. If a celeb has done wrong, the people will tear them apart in any way possible. Even a joke or a mockery is a way to tear a celeb apart.
I sadly feel the loss of such a beautiful woman at the hands of someone who is supposed to be a role model.
