I know we all have our days when you hate this place , mostly because someone here has pissed us off , but overall how have you found the site.....and has it opened you up to something new, or made you think , behave or act this change been for the positive ?I must admit when I first started here I didn't think I would stay because it appeared to be very segregated , but as time went by I got to know people from all over the country via the forums and chat rooms , in fact the First Lady I met was from Cape Town .As I allowed people time to get to know me ,and vice verse ,I found these barriers slowly start to fade and connections being made that crossed all sorts of barriers (actual and perceived) and I have learnt a all I would say I have enjoyed my time here ( as much as I find myself on the brink of departing from time to time) and I think I have learnt tolerance and patients and acceptance (of things that I can't control.).....my spelling and grammar still needs work though wink
Ash, what a great positive feed back on your time here with us... I myself can only say I enjoy certain days more than others and that the Fora`s will always remain the reason why I am staying.

I agree with that. Well said ash and PiB
Thanks Rocks, I'm using Firefox 33.1 Seems fine now I googled Guru Meditation Errors. Maybe my post should be moved to the help Forum, I'm running Windows7 Ultimate over fibre optic reaching speeds of 68mb per sec. But trying to post int the Forum returned the above error. Irish
@Ash, Your wording about barriers "Actual & Perceived" says so much. So much about how we as humans function. Just a real pity more of us could not be so good at allowing the barriers to fade away as you are.
I've had a wonderful time since I joined the site. I used to watch the site for a long time before I became a member, reading the stories and checking out the dogging opportunities - but always from a distance. After I registered a profile, I realised how much I had been missing out on by not being able to interact with people. I have met so many really nice people since being on here, some just for drinks and a chat (I love sharing experiences), some to watch at play, and some even to play with! I have also NEARLY met some equally lovely people (and she knows who she is!), and there are a few others where we are planning to meet and chat as soon as there is an opportunity. My social circle has diversified and expanded, as has my life-experience! I've seen and done things in the past two and a half years that I really had no expectation of ever experiencing, have some wonderful memories, and I am living life to the full! Being on this site has been a really good experience for me!...

Mr. RedBruce my old friend,
It is wonderful to read your write-up about how succesful your time as a member on this site has been.
What would have made it perfect, was if we could have seen the look of disappointment and dejection on Stamina's face when he read this and realised that another male member was also enjoying immense success from this site . .
@SDMR lol   Sorry, wasn't bragging, just feeling really grateful for all the good experiences! wink Eish, Stamina! Time to get lucky, man!... Wanna hear about your SUCCESS stories, okay?
Overall, we have stayed for the same reason as @ash and @PIB1: The forum conversations have kept me returning when we are simply too busy to actually arrange meets with new possible playmates. In terms of meets, we have had some great successful meets, some unsuccessful meets and some no shows. We have yet to meet a couple, most of them - like single ladies - disappear off the grid just as dates are being made, or don't confirm the meet... ;) C
Well, besides meeting liars, fakers and weird people. I have met awesome folks, Ash you are one got nothing but love for you. Its changed things like I met my current partner and he and I are now business partners aswell. I'm incredibly happy. Also its changed my opinion of certain things eventhough I might not agree on some. I've become more open minded and learnt a lot (thanks PIB). So guess with the good and bad I stick around, meet new and interesting people and learn a few more things along the way
You reap from a Site what you commit to it. I live in Ireland and have have 5 successful meets in SA on business when traveling through this site.
Have met some very nice people on this site and had enjoyable experiances Still meeting people and having fun at the age of 65

There were wonderful moments and there was moments i rather forget. The people we met are wonderful friends and those who nagged all the time, sorry for you, you missed the boat.
But what I learned from this site is to be more tolerant and more open minded of people. I have come to realise that most that come into the lifestyle are here just to stuff around and looking for some past time entertainment. Ok now you say WTF ..let me explain ,When we decided to venture into making friends 8 years ago we found a site that was run by locals and was aimed at more social events,(Adult theme parties, Meet and Greets) This was great for us it eased us into the lifestyle and we had some great mentors. And slowly we started meeting more and more people that over time we where asked to become Ambies .Ambies was somebody on the site that was prepared to go out and meet newbies and help them ease into the lifestyle and it was a great learning curve for us and it was great fun meeting new people. We then became Mods and still are now going onto 4 years. Was Ambies for 3 before. So when joining this site we sort of had a set mind of what the lifestyle was all about, What a load of bullshit, It was like walking into a brick wall, for example try and help somebody in the chat room, Some thought you where been rude or to forward or pushy. I soon learned to just sit back and try and relax and enjoy. With time we have got to known a few people and have become very good friends. But without the shock of taking a step back it would have never happened. This is the view of Mr C ..Mrs C has no problems and has enjoyed the site.
regardless of enjoying it or not, the most important thing I can relate to is learning about people in general. (not that psychology B.S) But general things applicable to real life. Conflict resolution, self examination and understanding another's personal preferences. Those are perhaps the more important lessons I've learned. Im still to meet people that I feel a connection to...the few personal meets I've had went down quite bizarrely. But thats a different story.
I have met my best friend, buddy, and partner in "crime" , on SH. I have also learned that we all have fears, insecurities and are generally normal people. SH has really turned my life upside down and inside out, but eventually gave me a future I would have never even thought possible. I sometimes feel like I am 18 again. We have met a few good friends, and live our lives to the fullest...no boundaries. We have had a 99% success rate (sorry Stamina, I really feel for you) and we've heard the words "WOW" almost every time. Great site, and a lifestyle I would recommend for anyone!
