From my chatting to folks, it seems that there is a need for a "directory" of suitable accommodation that can be rented for "short term" use during the day...
I don't believe it would be right or appropriate to provide free advertising for such places by putting their names and contact addresses on here openly (remember, the general public lurkers / non-members can all read these pages!).
So I propose that folks who know about suitable venues that people could use for daytime "quickies" or skelmpie events, post the general area on here as the subject line, with maybe a very short description of the type of accommodation, daily or hourly rate, etc., but without providing the contact details. People wanting to know about such accommodation could then message the person who is the source of the information, and in that way the details remain out of the public eye.
I will post an example of what I think is a suitable "advert" immediately below...

I can add the flats in VDBP, I just need to find the details again (written down on a little piece of paper somewhere!) in case anyone asks me for them.... If you've got the name and contact details for the flats, please send to me in a PM? Then also send me the street address for the chinese B&B in VRG, I have just the phone number?
I only know of the Vereeniging Unitas Park place as a closest alternative for VDBP.
