It is called anuptaphobia.
It is what those people who go back and forth between *single,* *it's complicated* and *in a relationship* on their profile`s have.
Is this not cool? Now you can post this on your profile instead of all the above, just the one word....anuptaphobia.
This forum is dedicated to a recently *single* friend of mine. Pity she is NOT on here.
So to all you people who are afraid of dumping your girlfriend/boyfriend because you are afraid of losing your cuddle buddy/bunny and to all you people who just got out of relationships and are claiming your life is NOW over and you are going to end up alone.
Get over yourselves.
You are not going to be bored - you will have a life: Single people have busy lives, and in fact, they're probably busier than you were when you were dating what's-his-name.
You are not ugly: Oh gee, you just got dumped, and now you suddenly must look like a Monster. Right, because that makes sense.
You look exactly like you did yesterday so stop complaining about how you think *no one will want you.*
You are NOT a loser: Being single does not make you a loser.
You are not a failure: There's nothing wrong with you,just because that person was not your soul mate, does not mean you are tainted and un-date-able.
You WILL meet someone: News flash! Single people are not extinct, They're still out here looking for another single.

@PB - fascinating topic which may have advice within its own terms.
A quick look at a list of phobias shows that in order to overcome anuptaphobia (especially within a SH context) you may also need to deal with your gymnophobia (fear of being nude), haphephobia (fear of bein touched), philophobia (fear of love) and ESPECIALLY :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: phagophobia (THE FEAR OF SWALLOWING).
And just so we all sure "papaphobia" is not the opposite of an unhealthy love of ones father but rather the fear of the Pope.
