Good question, not sure if this was aimed at the guys as well? Anyway, my 2c. I have not had a lot of anal sex, but what I did have was with very willing and interested partner which definitely makes it worth the while (as with any sex I guess). From my experience however, I have no real preference. I did not have the "out of body" experience that some guys get from anal, it was not all that tighter (maybe she had more experience than she led on?) but it was most definitely enjoyable.
Regarding rimming, I won't say that I would set out to rim anyone, but I have in the heat of the moment gone there and when clean, it creates some very interesting reactions from the ladies...also, receiving rimming is a very pleasing sensation.

As a female doing fisting vaginally and anally (males like peggings more really) I can tell you, that I found that the vagina is more *loose* if I can say that, anal is way tighter specially the area of the sphincter. if the parties receiving the fisting clams down and tighten the area I am fisitng I would say the anus is way way tighter.
The vagina is selflubricating of course makes things really easy, where the anus you need a LOT of lube even during fisting, not just in the beginning.
The anus is also a little HOTTER as in *Heat* than vaginally. and even as a vagina can stretch to accomodate a penis, anally you can slightly go further!
As for pegging, WELL MEN LOVES that, I think if the person finds the prostate gland and slides over it time and time again IT works the same as the g-spot for females, MEN can cum just from that alone, you need not stimulate the penis to get the same result. There's also the psychological aspect of anal sex, because it is *labeled* as a homosexual act by the majority of the community, even when it takes place in a heterosexual context, still carries with it the connotation of *forbidden* pleasure. Also a psychological thing, when a person is fucking them in the ass, it gives you a feeling of a lot of power. That alone is a high.
Anal sex is also more intimate from my own point of view, others might differ. ( I ONLY allowed people I trusted, to really play anally with me, when I was still active.)
I personally do NOT like rimming, but others love it. Once again I think it is to do with my mindset as anally is a *dirty* area. Although the mouth is the REALLY the dirty part of one`s anatomy, and I love kissing.
As for anally the anus not being that *thight* maight be that the person is having regular anal sex it sort of makes the sphincter easier to loosen up, and knowing you are going to engage in anal sex one does PREPARE befor hand which also loosens you up making penetration easier.

I've met one woman who claimed to love it and spoken to a few others who also say they enjoy it, but for the majority of women I've known, they either are not willing to try it or do not like it. I have to agree with you that there is a LOT of lurking bacteria and maybe some parasites in the anal canal. Just as it is a FACT that E-Coli is VERY dangerous and always present in the anal canal. Rimming the anus orally or with fingers or even a penis or any toy, makes for possible infections.
If you think that anyone who plays anally on a regular basis, is usually very clean. They will see to it that any hair around the anus is removed, they wash and douche directly before any play. And even then, they might ask to be wiped with some sterile cloth once again, just before any oral rimming takes place. ( I also know it is not always possible and takes away any spontaneous play.) But to me it was always a issue. I would also ALWAYS cover any TOY I use with condoms and even then always wash and dry before and after using such a toy. YES...the anus is a dirty place, YES, the mouth is a dirty place.... But oooh the joy that lays beneath all this dirtiness... I recon rimming is not for everyone. Things have to be super, uber, duper clean before this can even be considered.
BUT, the cleaning process in itself is foreplay... Yes, take a bath together, and slowly and sensually clean what needs to be cleaned (be very careful of the soaps used for this purpose).
