We have been friends for more than fifty years... From day one we were inseparable... We were like blood brothers, even my mother tried her best to keep us apart...Right through school and even into the army we were together...He was Bernard and I was Billy and were known as " The Naughty B'S..." Trouble was our middle name... After the army varsity split us apart for a few years...He remained in Pretoria and I went to study in Johannesburg at the Hotel School... On completing our studies we went our separate ways he in running his own business, and me working at The Beacon Isle Hotel for a few years, before returning back to Johannesburg running my Liquor Store, before meeting the love of my life, but our friendship remained intact... Seeing each other at every opportunity... From Johannesburg to Cape town I went, and after twenty five years I returned back to my home town again... Quick, quick we made contact with each other and a braai was organized and with a number of other friends...

The wives were chatting as if it was another tea party... There we were standing around the fire with a drink in our hands, some drinking Whisky, while others were drinking Beer and me drinking Red wine.... When Robin looked in the direction of Bernard and myself and said, " nothing has changed still the naughty boy's of the school, " what are the two of you planning... He asked... Haha, wouldn't you like to know Bernard replied... No, no, yelled Bernard's wife Nina, " I have heard enough stories about the two of you..." Robin's wife yelled, " tell them all I have not heard any of them..." Bernard loudly said, " Where do you want me to begin..." Patsy, Robin's wife yelled back, from the beginning... Nina was quick to say, " Patsy it will take more than month and we only here for the evening..." Patsy was quick to reply, " one will be enough then..." Sean another friend's wife Karen was quick to say, " Patsy you will not like to hear what Billy and Bernard had been up too, it might just shock you to the core..." Patsy, smiling at Karen said, " nothing that these two had got up to would shock me as I could just imagine..." Looking in the direction of the ladies, I said, " Just keep imagining..."

The wives kept chatting and chatting, bringing out a loud burst of laughter, and the men talking like men, asking each other what they were doing... Bernard looked at me and smiled and said, Billy you lucky you got off extremely lightly, I could have embarrassed you if the conversation had continued... Looking at him, I said, " Bernard nothing what we have done would embarrass me, " I said... Are you sure Billy he replied... " Of cause Bernard, " I replied... Think carefully, Billy he said... At that moment Nina yelled out, " Bernard the ladies are thirsty and they need another drink... Inside the house  two of us went, poured the drinks and brought them out for the ladies... Pasty looked at the two of us and said, " The two of you would make a good waitering team..." Oh please Patsy, they would drink more than what they would serve, " Nina said... Back into the kitchen we went, out we came with the meat that needed to be braaied...Looking at Robin and Sean as I put the meat on the table next to the fire, I said, now it is your turn and gave each a tong... Sean was quick to say, " Billy you have never changed still giving out the orders, and onto the fire went the meat... Finally the meat was done to perfection... The ladies collected the salads from the kitchen... There was everything at the table, and everyone was busy dishing up there food...There stood Bernard and I awaiting out turn... Bernard whispered softly to me have you seen what meat Robin has given to Patsy... A nice thick piece of Wors, he said, the two of us burst out laughing, Nina looked at the two of us and asked so what is joke , we will also like to join in... Bernard smiling at me said, " Billy you can tell them why we are laughing..." Blushing slightly, I said, I find it very interesting what the different people choose what they are going to eat... Nina knowing me too well, said, come out with the truth Billy... Nina I said, " look at the plates and you will see why we were laughing.... Nina seeing Patsy's plate, burst out laughing and said, "some people can't wait to get home..." Everyone seated and eating on their food and sipping on their drinks, Patsy was quick to complement Robin and Sean on how they had braaied the meat, especially the wors, nice and juicy, just like I like she said... Haha the ladies burst out laughing, Patsy can't you wait to get home to have fun Karen asked... No, no, that was not what I meant Patsy replied... Haha, so what did you mean Patsy I asked... Patsy just shook her head and smiled, and said " It can only be you Billy..."

Most of the people finished eating and their glasses refilled, the banter continued and the laughter got louder and louder... When suddenly out of the blue and way off the topic, Sean piped up and said, " Billy so what happened to you and your schoolgirl lover Cindy..." Not sure what he had heard, I quickly answered, just like all school love affairs, they come and go and everyone moves on... Bernard burst out laughing and said, was the mother more upset than Cindy when the two of you went your own ways... Blushing and feeling rather uneasy, I was quick to reply, not sure, why didn't you ask her... Patsy was quick to get one back on me, and said, out loud, oh my word so we have a toy boy in our midst, lets hear this story, it could be very intriguing... Haha Bernard  laughed, so must I tell the story Billy...Nina laughed and asked so was it true Billy... Nodding my head, I said, make your day mate and tell the story... Bernard trying to control his laughter, said, " I could not believe my eyes there they were clasped in each others arms kissing like two teenage lovers, yes Cindy's Mom and Billy, not sure who made the first move, but proved my suspicion that Cindy's Mom had the hots for my friend... Staring and staring, he never said a word, but also hoping it was him, because Cindy's Mom had an exceptionally sexy body... Robin was quick to interrupt, lucky for me, Billy you never met my mom... Sean smiling like a cat that had finished the stolen milk, laughed and said, so it was not just my older sister that had the hots for you Billy...Wow Sean, you only telling me now, I replied... Sean burst out laughing and said, Billy do you think you could of handled both of them at the same time... Bernard burst out laughing and said, so you don't know Billy like the way I do Sean... Dating two at once would never had been a problem for him... Being caught would have been disappointment for him as I know Billy Bernard said... Slowly, slowly everyone started to go home... Leaving the three of us Bernard, Nina and myself talking about the good old days...
